OFFICE RELATIONSHIP (BAD WEATHER)

As I rode the elevator down to the parking deck, I couldn’t keep my eyes off my boots. I was smiling so hard my cheeks were hurting. I left Tracy back in his room packing up his stuff. His plane was to leave in three hours.
As I approached my car my cell phone rung, it was Jackie.
"Hey girl, how you doing?" I asked, as if I really cared.
“I’m fine Bitch. Guess who spent the night with me? She knew I already knew, but wanted to toy with me.
"I have no idea. Who?
“Mr. Ron and girl I'm here to tell you that he knows how to please a woman."
"Oh really! You must tell me all about it!
"OK, then why don't you meet me at Warren's in about an hour?”
I was curious about what had happened between Jackie and Ron, so I agreed to meet her.

The traffic in Manhattan was crazy, but I managed to arrive at Warren's right on time.
Jackie was waiting for me at the bar.
"Hey girl," she said as I approached her for a brief hug.
“I love your boots. They are mad awesome." She said as she leaned over to check them out.
Instead of putting back on my cocktail dress from the night before, I just had to sport the black boots, leggings, and turtleneck that Tracy had brought me. "Thanks girl" I smiled in her direction.
"You an't mad at me, are you?” She asked.
“Why would I be mad at you? I asked already knowing she assumed she had won the "Get fucked by the new man contest."
"You know he's my man now, right? She asked, as I pulled off my coat and lay it across an empty chair next to the seat I would be sitting in.
"If you think so."
"What do you mean by, if you think so?" She asked displaying an irritated look on her face.
"I mean, just because you fuck a man it doesn't mean he belongs to you."
Jackie stared in my direction giving off a look of disbelieve. "Oh, you still can't play fair. OK come on with it bitch, MAY THE BEST WOMAN WIN.” She shouted out.
"OK, but I don't think its right for us to complete for a man, who may not want either one of us." I spoke back in a clam tone, hoping that she would not break me down to her level of verbal excitement.
Oh, he wants me, matter of fact, were going away next weekend. He said you were too uppity for him. So if you still want to try to get with him, go ahead. You will definitely make a fool of yourself! Girl, you think you’re cute anyway, but you ain’t shit, BITCH!
I got up from my seat and grabbed my coat. “Listen, I’ve heard enough. I have to go before I whoop your crazy ass up in here. I don't have time for this bull shit, Jackie.”
Jackie rounded her eyes at me and directed herself towards the bartender, who was now chucking at us as he served her another drink.

Monday came and went. The rest of the week was spent finishing task for the finally approval and close out of our project.
Jackie spent most of the week twisting her ass back and forth in to Mr. Ron's office. We both still act as if nothing was wrong, but we were right back where we had started - hating each other.

Due to inclement weather, Jackie left early Friday, along with most of the office. I stayed behind to help Mr. Ron with his monthly reports. He had been very nice to me all week, taking time out of his schedule to work with me on management skills and task. He spoke about the management position that I was sure to be promote to and how impress he was with my management abilities. I was so excited. Jackie acted as if she had already gotten the position. The bitch went out and purchased a new Lexus, anticipating her raise would cover the payment.

Mr. Ron came up behind me and spoke softly. “Hey Ms. Lady, we better get going. The weather is getting worst. Come see out the window.
I was amazed at the amount of snow that had falling within the last hour and worried about driving,
"Oh my God. How am I going to make it home in this stuff?” Ron saw the panic on my face. He placed his hand on my back, rubbing it to comfort me,
"You can stay with me if you like. I live right around the corner, walking distance.” He said wearing a sincere look on his face.
"I may have to if I can get out of here.” I walked back to my desk and started gathering up my belongings. Ron walked out his off and approached me. “Hey, I really mean that. If you need a place to stay until this blows over, you are welcome to come home with me. He said, and walked back into his office to get his stuff together.
I knew I wasn't going to be able to drive, so I had no choice but to go home with Ron. I knew Jackie would probably die if she knew that I was spending the night over her "he's my man" house.
